Rebecca Alberts

Hi! I’m Rebecca Alberts (she/her). This is my 6th year at Dishman Hills High School. I teach math and am the special education teacher here. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Special Education from Gonzaga University, and a Master’s in Math Education from Western Governors University. Since I love to learn, I recently earned a certificate in Special and Inclusive Education from the University of Kansas. I am passionate about learning and supporting students to find success in all classes, especially neurodivergent learners. I love working at Dishman. The small classes allow more opportunities to learn and try different strategies, and many students who felt like they were not “math people” before coming here find themselves doing, and dare I even say enjoying math classes.

Outside of school, I love doing art and design, crochet, aerial silks, yoga, and watching TV.
