Tamsin Harrison

My time at DHHS has been the most enjoyable, rewarding experience of my education career so far, and I am really looking forward to being the new Dean of Students. I love working with our amazing students, and exceptional staff to create meaningful relationships, enabling our students to feel a strong sense of belonging, and helping them to prepare effectively for their lives beyond school by motivating them to make academic, social and emotional progress in a supportive environment.

My pronouns are she/her, I’m British, and grew up in London, U.K. I have four children, and I love bouldering, paddleboarding, cycling, and camping with them. I’ve been a teacher since 2005 and before moving to Spokane, I was a Spanish and English teacher, and Head of Boarding in an international boarding school in Bangkok, Thailand. I have an MA in International Education and I love learning languages. I really enjoy motivating my students to discover new cultures, and try out new ways of communicating.
