Jeremiah Wicken
Hello,
My name is Jeremiah Wicken, and I am thrilled to be teaching math at Dishman Hills High School this year. Before I became a teacher, I occupied various roles in the Methow Valley School District, including paraeducator, lunch worker, bus driver, and maintenance worker, to name a few. Over the last 5 years I have taught math and science at the middle school and high school levels, as well as a few other courses in health/fitness and project management. I went to high school in northern Idaho, and started college in Spokane, but ventured to the West Side of the mountains when I started my family. My wife and I both started our teaching careers in Central Washington, but we are both happy to be back and settled in the Spokane area. Our two kids are loving the various opportunities for dining out and pursuing hobbies! In my spare time, I am also a strength & conditioning coach, currently practicing at The Performance Lab at Liberty Lake Athletic West. There we provide programming/group fitness opportunities for middle school, high school, and adults after regular school hours.
I am also a staff coach with Barbell Logic! We provide online strength programming and coaching for folks of all ages and walks of life. You might say I'm a bit of a gym rat. Ask me about weightlifting or making pizza!
